Three years after the publication of “Korozja”, the Polish project ESCAPE FROM WARSAW returns with new material “Transit The Specter Of War”. The new album contains 11 electronic tracks, on the one hand consistently performed in the spirit of lo-fi electronics, but presenting Karol Su/ka’s work in a slightly different, refreshed formula.
You can still find echoes of electro, acid and dub in his work, but in the sound layer you can more clearly hear raw, even metallic sounds, industrial reverbs, and a field recording groove that accompanies you almost to the last note. It is thanks to the sound, sometimes reminiscent of psytrance music, incorporated into the structures of pieces written in the dub / electro convention, that the musician ESCAPE FROM WARSAW managed to develop a coherent and refreshed formula, thanks to which he skillfully goes beyond the scheme, while maintaining the essence of his work. involved. A must-have not only for old listeners, but also for people looking for interesting, rhythmic electronic music.
