KRISTOFFER OUSTAD

In his work, Kristoffer Oustad explores stylistic regions rooted in industrial aesthetics, ambient music, and dark electronica. His first solo album, “Filth Haven”, was released by the American label Malignant Records.

Kristoffer Oustad is a Norwegian experimental musician and sound designer, driven by his insatiable passion and curiosity for sound. He has been part of the alternative music scene for over two decades. Oustad’s compositions have always had a very cinematic character to them, and with strong focus on atmosphere and dynamic sound.

He started an industrial death metal band called V:28 back in 2002, and they did a trilogy of albums, and even a remix album that was released by Cold Meat Industry.
During this period Kristoffer and Peter Nyström (Megaptera / Negru Voda) formed Kristoffer Nyströms Orkester, as a result of an improvised post gig session. They released two albums,  also released by Malignant. Along with members of STROM.ec., he formed the band STROMSTAD, recording the critically acclaimed album “New Devoted Human” in 2017. Over the years, he has collaborated with various artists and bands, including: with MZ.412, MURDEROUS VISION, GGFH, NORDVARGR, SHOCK FRONTIER, THE VOMIT ARSONIST, NAVICON TORTURE TECHNOLOGIES, MEGAPTERA, NEGRU VODA, MANES, or THEATRE OF TRAGEDY, sometimes making joint recordings with them, supporting them in studio work, or performing live…
