VIDNA OBMANA

Dirk Serries, known for his collaboration with Celer on the Background Curtain, for many years operated under the name Vidna Obmana. The first recordings under this banner were released in the mid-1980s. Initially, he penetrated very rough industrial sounds in his work, but at the beginning of the next decade he leaned towards ambient music with delicate ethnic elements. The first albums on which he successfully recorded in this style and which brought him wider publicity were ‘Passage in Beauty’ (1991), ‘Shadowing in Sorrow’ (1992) and ‘Ending Mirage’ (1993), consisting both sonically and as well as visually, on the trilogy. A few years later, they were reissued in this way in one package by the American Relic label.
