ZENIAL

ZENIAL (Łukasz Szałankiewicz) – an artist identified with Sanok, Krakow, and recently Poznań. Sound designer, historian, curator of electronic music. Member of the Polish Association of Electroacoustic Music.

Participated in international festivals in Austria, Russia, Bulgaria, Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, France, China, Hungary, Belarus, Romania, Lithuania, Israel, Kazakhstan, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador , Luxembourg and the USA (in 2011 at the Focus! Festival, organized in Lincoln Center by the prestigious Juillard university and the Polish Cultural Institute in New York). He has performed in Poland at the following Festivals: Audio Art, Unsound, Wro, as well as at Galeria Kordegrada (Warsaw), Center for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle (Warsaw), Galeria Arsenał (Białystok), Center for Contemporary Art (Toruń) and many other places. In his work, he focuses on both musical research and audiovisual performances and interactive installations. In addition to strictly musical activities, he deals with the promotion of Polish composers in the country and abroad. Co-founder of the Audiotong publishing house. He was also active in organizing several festivals. He publishes albums as Zenial and Palsecam, together with Maciej Szymczuk he creates the AABZU project, and together with prof. Marek Chołoniewski is involved in the Dizzy Kinetics project.
