Drugi album greckiego iN sCissorS to znakomita kontynuacja 'The Veratrine Evangelicum’, album jeszcze bardziej dojrzały i dopracowany do ostatniego szczegółu. Krążek z każdym przesłuchaniem nabiera nowych barw i podoba się coraz bardziej.

In Scissors second full length album is a good dark ambient/industrial record indeed. The nine tracks are always able to build a wall of tension where the dark ambient sounds are enriched by strings arrangements. Throbbing sounds and melody create a particular effect: industrial arrangements, orchestral neo-classical moments with percussions, strings and loops are alternated creating an interesting blend of genres that are able to fit very well the album concept (in this case the destruction of earth and nature caused by human beings). Like a virtual soundtrack to human decline ORBIS TERRARUM REQUIEM shake the audience to the bone offering an original an honest vision of a classic industrial theme.

Panoramajournal
After the high response at „The Veratrine Evangelicum”, IN SCISSORS the solo project exploration of Vincent Andelmot is back with a more mature and structured Album, through 56 minutes in which you shall experience the decadence and destructive awakening by humans from an abstract perspective, floating into dense dark ambient passages included through 9 compositions included here. Opening is „Attic-An introduction” based into diverse piano passages and atmospheres performed in a proper way. Then, comes „Hypnogeum Dweller”, through more dense passages and bathed with ambient atmospheres violin and percussive elements and dismal chorus as background of the track, one of the best ones included here.”Vierte Ritter”is a compendium of diverse instruments handled carefully to create a dynamic exploration of atmospheres with a mystic eastern atmosphere in the construction of the track. With „Sealed Writings” things are going oriented more into dark ambient soundscapes with such cinematic elements here and there able to mutate suddenly into different forms.” wandering Gnome” is a cinematic orchestration with sutile defragmentation of sounds converging all the time, a very interesting piece full of diverse elements.”Orbis Terrarum Requiem”, “Autumnal Asperges”,”…Of Ancient Galleries”are other tracks which floats into dense ambient structures bathed with such personal touch which is moult through the whole album. Piano passages, violin soundscapes and percussive elements is what you shall find when exploring the universe created by IN SCISSORS. Remember that The IN SCiSSORS’ philosophy about music is to create every time a different realm or dimension in which it’s taking place…”

iN sCissorS is back with the follow up album of the splendid album The Veratrine Evangelicum. This time with an album named Orbis Terrarum Requiem which actually means the world’s requiem. To be more specific with In Scissors it means the destructive effect on Earth and nature by mankind. Not a very original theme but let me assure you the music itself is very original. The Veratrine Evangelicum ended up in my year list. Probably Orbis Terrarum will do the same. Vincent Andelmoth, sole member of iN sCissorS, manages to present nine interesting soundscapes on this splendid album. Vincent Andelmoth calls its unique concoction cinematic ambient. And deservedly; dark ambient soundscapes are enhanced with (electronic) violins, piano, drums and other instruments giving it the feeling that you are into a movie soundtrack. The album opens with the beautiful and dark Attic – An Introduction which slowly develops into a track with threatening drums. Hypnogeum Dweller opens like a pure dark ambient track but manages to evolve by simply and effectively adding violin changing it in a different atmosphere. As you might know now every song is different, just like scenes from a movie, seeing to it that every track gets it deserved attention. It is hard to explain this album but if you want to have some references I would go for Bisclaveret mixed with the soundtrack of Hellraiser.  It took me a few spins but Orbis Terrarum Requiem managed to enthral me and has been making its spins in my cd-player ever since. Please listen to this album and see for yourself what iN sCissorS has to offer. You won’t be disappointed, I assure you!

Z pośród trzech recenzowanych przeze mnie w ostatnim czasie wydawnictw z Zoharum te prezentuje się najlepiej. Po dobrze przyjętym debiucie ”The Veratrine Evangelicum” w No Angels Productions i jego wznowieniu, grecki projekt In Scissors powraca z bardzo dojrzałym drugim krążkiem.

Pozbawieni zmysłów popadamy w obłęd i zapominamy kim byliśmy i kim jesteśmy… Prostymi w sumie środkami grecki projekt świetnie zobrazował taką właśnie apokaliptyczno – nihilistyczną atmosferę. Jedna z ciekawszych dark ambientowych pozycji, jakie słyszałem w ciągu ostatnich kilkunastu miesięcy.
